Drugs worth €4,000 seized

GAR­DAI in Bray have seized al­most €4,000 worth of drugs from five dif­fer­ent peo­ple in the town so far this year.

The most sig­nif­i­cant of those seizures was made on Jan­uary 1 when one per­son was re­lieved of €2,000 worth of heroin in the Bal­ly­waltrim area.

The man in ques­tion is be­lieved to be a known drug dealer and is cur­rently in cus­tody.

A per­son was ar­rested on Boghall Road on Fe­bru­ary 4 and found to be car­ry­ing €600 worth of heroin.

An­other per­son was found to have €500 worth of ec­stasy on Fe­bru­ary 12 on South­ern Cross Road and there was €600 worth of co­caine seized in Kil­coole on Fe­bru­ary 14.

The last quan­tity of drugs to be con­fis­cated was €200 worth of heroin on Boghall Road last Sun­day.
