Gar­daí hope read­ers can iden­tify thieves

GAR­DAI ARE hop­ing read­ers of the Bray Peo­ple can iden­tify a num­ber of peo­ple filmed on CCTV in a Grey­stones shop dur­ing a theft that took place over two weeks ago.

Four women and a man went in to the shop at around lunchtime on Sun­day Fe­bru­ary 8 in the Church Road store, said De­tec­tive In­spec­tor Frank Keenaghan of Bray Garda Sta­tion. The five peo­ple were de­scribed as be­ing for­eign na­tion­als.

In a state­ment, gar­dai said that en­try was gained to a re­stricted area in the rear of the shop and cash taken.

The women had dark hair and were dressed in East­ern Euro­pean style cloth­ing. Three of them were de­scribed as be­ing aged in their 20s, one in her 40s. The man wore a grey top and jeans and had short black hair. It is be­lieved a num­ber of the peo­ple may have dis­tracted staff while one of them went to the rear of the shop.
