A GLENVIEW MAN was given the benefit of the Probation Act when he appeared before Judge Murrough Connellan at last Tuesday’s sitting of Wicklow District Court.

Jason Healy, 46 Glenview Road, Wicklow was charged with two counts of failing to produce his driving licence, immediately and within ten days and with driving without a driving licence at Cullenmore, Ashford on June 7, 2008.

Acting for Healy solicitor David Tar- rant said Healy didn’t have his licence with him on the day but said he had a licence. He said the issue arose over whether he was accompanied by a qualified driver or not. Mr. Tarrant said that Healy was accompanied by a lady who had a full US driving licence and he understood that would be acceptable.

He said Healy now had a full driving licence.

Judge Connellan then applied the probation act.
