Fáilte Ireland will run an Outdoor Activities themed Tourism Learning Network in Co. Wicklow in 2009. These networks are a Fáilte Ireland initiative aimed at owners and managers of small tourism businesses. Outdoor Acitivities providers are being invited to participate in the Outdoor Activities Network. Places are limited to 25 participants.

There is a new ECDL night course starting on Tuesday 24 March from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. ECDL is an internationally recognised qualification which will deepen your knowledge of Microsoft Office. Saturday 21 February in the Brockagh Centre and Glendalough. The Yoga Walk day is for anybody interested in getting out in the fresh air, going for a walk in the Wicklow area and also trying some yoga. The day will involve a yoga session in the morning at 11 a.m. (no yoga experience is required) in the Brockagh Centre. After that, there will be a walk (about 4 hours long) in the Glendalough area, ideally up around the lakes and led by a walking guide. The walk will be kept at a pace to suit everyone. A new Fit Walk Programme will start in the Brockagh Centre on Tuesday 3 March from 10 to 11 a.m. This is a five week course that will show you how to improve your fitness through walking, explain how to get the best fat burning benefits, teach you good posture and how to StrideWalk and PowerWalk. KIDS’ MUSICAL THEATRE
Musical Theatre/Singing Workshops for children and teens continue on Saturday afternoons in the Brockagh Centre from 2 to 4 pm. The workshops are facilitated by Leslie Dowdall and Honor Heffernan, both of whom are well known in the music industry. Their aim is to help the students get the best out of their voices, and have the enjoyment of singing well and learning new songs. Both Honor and Leslie have been working independently with children for the past number of years, Honor as the voice coach in The Irish Academy of Dramatic Art and Leslie through her own company, Musicraft. Who talks to your child about drugs – can you? Community Awareness of Drugs (CAD) are running a course on drugs awareness in the Brockagh Centre from Monday 20 April. The CAD ‘Family Focus’ programme is a series of six two and half hour sessions which provides participants with an opportunity to update information on drugs and their effects, explore attitudes, beliefs and decisions related to drug misuse and develop a family-orientated drug prevention strategy.
