JOSEPH DVDS

Round­wood Va­ri­ety Group are now tak­ing or­ders for the DVD of Joseph and the Amaz­ing Tech­ni­color Dream­coat. The DVDs come at a cost of €20 and can be or­dered by con­tact­ing John on 087 9898823. Thurs­day and Fri­day night were recorded and the two nights DVDs can be pur­chased for €30.

MON­STER TA­BLE QUIZ

Round­wood Parish Hall com­mit­tee is hold­ing a Mon­ster Ta­ble Quiz on Thurs­day 19th Fe­bru­ary in the Parish Hall at 8.30pm, to pay for new chairs. We are ap­peal­ing to all or­ga­ni­za­tions in the Parish and fur­ther afield to sup­port this wor­thy cause.

WHIST RE­SULTS

The re­sults of the whist in aid of the Se­nior Cit­i­zens is as fol­lows: Top Score – May Kenna; Top Gent – Mon­ica Brady; Sec­ond Gent – Kay Plun­kett; Top Lady – Nan Wolo­han; Sec­ond Lady – Pa­tri­cia Byrne; First Half – Tiney Shortt; and Sec­ond Half – Biddy O’Con­nor. Raf­fle prizes were won by Mon­ica Brady, Mau­reen Gaffney and Biddy O’Con­nor. Next whist will be on

Wed­nes­day 25th Fe­bru­ary.

PETER MCKENNA NIGHT

A night of mu­sic will take place in Ka­vanaghs on Fri­day Fe­brury 27th. It is to com­mem­o­rate the first an­niver­sary of the pass­ing of Peter McKenna. A line up of mu­si­cians who en­ter­tained with Peter will pro­vide the mu­sic on the night. Ad­mis­sion is free but a raf­fle will be held on the night. All money gen­er­ated will go to can­cer re­search.

STAGE BRATZ

Stage Bratz Round­wood are hold­ing a meet­ing for teenagers and adults on Thurs­day Fe­bru­ary 26that 8pm in the new Parish Cen­tre Round­wood to an­nounce their forth­com­ing show. New mem­bers are very wel­come for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion please con­tact 0861278829.

FASH­ION SHOW

Pre­lim­i­nary no­ti­fi­ca­tion of Avon­dale Com­mu­nity Col­lege’s fash­ion show in the col­lege or­gan­ised by the par­ent’s as­so­ci­a­tion in aid of the school on Fri­day 27 March. Tick­ets will be on sale from 2 March in the school. More de­tails in the com­ing weeks.

HIS­TOR­I­CAL SO­CI­ETY

The An­nual Gen­eral Meet­ing of the Round­wood and District His­tor­i­cal and Folk­lore So­ci­ety will take place on Mon­day 23rd Fe­bru­ary in the Old School at 8.30pm. New mem­bers are wel­come.

LUNCH CLUB

The next Ac­tive Re­tire­ment lunch will take place on Fri­day 20th Fe­bru­ary at 1.30pm in Lyn­hams of Laragh.

TA­BLE QUIZ

Round­wood Com­mu­nity Pre-School are hold­ing a ta­ble quiz on Fri­day 27th Fe­bru­ary, in The Coach House at 8pm. All pro­ceeds raised will go to­wards adapt­ing the new house for the Com­mu­nity Pre-School, in Ash­wood, Round­wood. All sup­port wel­come.

MO­BILE RE­CY­CLING

The mo­bile re­cy­cling unit will be in the Coach House Carpark on Satur­day next the 21st Fe­bru­ary from 10a.m. – noon.

45 CARD DRIVE

45 Card game ev­ery Tues­day night start­ing at 8.45pm. Teas served. All are wel­come.

SET DANC­ING

Come along to Ka­vanagh’s Lounge on a Thurs­day night from 9pm til 11pm for some set danc­ing and the bit of craic with Michael, Matt & Brian. Looking for­ward to your con­tin­u­ing sup­port and meet­ing you on the dance floor.

LOTTO RE­SULTS

There was no win­ner in last weeks lotto. The num­bers drawn were 2, 14, 23 & 28. There were five match three win­ners Si­mon Carey, Darena Kennedy, Bernard Hat­ton, Tommy Healy & Brian Car­roll. Next weeks jack­pot will be €13,400.

BALL­ROOM DANCE
