Fined after pee in a phonebox
A MAN WHO urinated in a phone box on Castle Street must pay a total of €1,250 in fines after he failed to appear at Bray District Court last Thursday.
Edward Delaney, who told Gardaí that he lives in a Dublin hostel, was drinking in front of a shop and behaving aggressively with another person. They were told to leave the area but doubled back.
Delaney was then caught emptying his bladder inside a phone box. The court heard that he has eight previous convictions dating back to 2002.
He was fined €500 in his absence for being drunk in public, €250 for urinating in public ‘contrary to public decency,’ and €500 for failing to comply with the directions of a Garda.
