Lin­gerie boss set to plead

A LIN­GERIE com­pany boss has had a drink-driv­ing charge against her ad­journed while she de­cides how to plead.

Melissa Nel­son, co-owner of Dun Laoghaire-based Honey Trap, is ac­cused of fail­ing a breath al­co­hol test af­ter be­ing stopped driv­ing in Wick­low more than four years ago.

Ms Nel­son (33), who was ar­rested on the charge last month fol­low­ing an ear­lier fail­ure to ap­pear in court, had her case put back to April.

Her so­lic­i­tor made an ap­pli­ca­tion for the dis­clo­sure of prose­cu­tion doc­u­ments.

The ac­cused, of Pem­broke Gar­dens, Balls­bridge, is ac­cused of drunk driv­ing at Bal­lina-bar­ney, Rath­new, Co Wick­low on Septem­ber 22, 2004.

Judge Mur­rough Con­nel­lan re­manded her on con­tin­u­ing bail and granted her so­lic­i­tor a state­ments or­der.

On the next day, the ac­cused will ei­ther en­ter a plea or be given a hear­ing date if she is con­test­ing the charge.
