WITH free music trails, a huge ceili and the return of the funfair, Bray’s St. Patrick’s Festival is expected to put a spring in our steps as the weather warms up.

Arts, Youth, Sporting & Community groups across Bray are being invited to take part, once again as preparations get.

Now in its sixth year the Bray St Patrick’s Festival is taking place between March 12 and 17.

The six-day festival celebrating the national holiday is now one of the largest such St Patrick’s events in the Irish calendar.

‘We are calling on everyone in the area to get involved in creating another successful parade and festival,’ said Chairperson of the Festival committee Mick Glynn. ‘We have already received great interest for this year’s parade including several international participants.’

The Festival is promoted by Bray & District Chamber and supported by Bray Town Council. The committee will help any group willing to participate with ideas and assistance. There are a number of awards up for grabs with a representative of the Bray People amongst the judging panel on the viewing stand.
