Driver banned for three years
A MAN who told Arklow District Court that he drove while intoxicated to get medical attention after an assault has been fined €850 and put off the road for three years.
James Redmond from Beech Road, Arklow was charged at Ballinacor on April 6, 2008 where a concentration of 192mcg of alcohol to 100ml blood was recorded.
He was also charged with no insurance (user) and failure to produce documents.
The court heard that Redmond accepts he should not have been driving.
