Fairwood Celtic 0, Greystones United 0: Greystones United’s title hopes were dealt a blow last Sunday afternoon, while Fairwood Celtic kept theirs alive after both sides failed to break the deadlock in this one.

DIVISION 3 United are now three points clear of second placed BBK, but BBK have a game in hand.

Celtic meanwhile are five points off the top and have played the same amount of games as their opponents on Sunday.

Carnew AFC 2, Newtown Park Celtic 0: John Kavanagh has certainly had a good start to 2009.

The defender scored both his side’s goals in their 2-2 draw with Clash Celtic a few weeks back and on Sunday he popped up twice more to win his side the three points.

Indeed, it’s been a great start to the year for Carnew also, as they have picked up seven points from a possible nine so far this year.

A promotion push is certainly on for Sunday’s home side, they currently sit seven points off the leaders, but with three games less played than them.
