WITH MANY schools on mid term break last week, no games were played in the Al­lianz Foot­ball Leagues.

With the bad weather of the two pre­vi­ous weeks, our leagues are be­hind sched­ule, but we in Cu­mann na mBun­scol are adapt­able and no doubt we’ll get our pro­gramme back on track over the next few weeks!

The an­nual quiz will take place on Dé hAoine 6ú Márta in the Brock­agh Re­source Cen­tre Laragh. Schools may bring along two teams of four and each team is to wear ei­ther the school or lo­cal club track­suit. Teams should be in the hall no later than 7.15 p.m. All clubs are asked to spon­sor some spot prizes so no pupil goes home empty-handed.

GAA/INTO MINI SEV­ENS

It’s al­most that time of the year again when our thoughts turn to­wards the ini­tial se­lec­tion process for the ex­hi­bi­tion matches in Croke Park on All Ire­land semi-fi­nal and fi­nal days. This year there is a new se­lec­tion process whereby each school may bring along two pupils to the rel­e­vant venue where they will be put through some skills ex­er­cises based on the FunDo Re­source Pack. Schools have been writ­ten to about this. For fur­ther de­tails con­tact Dave Barry in St. Cro­nan’s.
