Sad passing of Anne Flynn

Bray People - - BRAY PEOPLE -

WICKLOW TOWN acted with much sadness at the news of Anne Neiland Flynn earlier in August.

Anne passed away peacefully at Blackrock Clinic. She was the beloved wife of John and much loved daughter of Una and the late Oliver.

Anne was a long time member of Wicklow Sailing Club and a former Committee members as well. She was a stalwart of the Sailing Club social scene for many years and was always willing to help put at functions and events.

She also worked tirelessly for different charitable causes whenever possible. Many of the successful events held by the Sailing Club down through the years would never have been quite so successful without Anne’s effort and hard work.

There was a large presence at her funeral mass in St. Patrick’s Church, including plenty of Wicklow Sailing Club representation. She was laid to rest afterwards at Rathnew Cemetery.

As well as her husband, John, and mother Una, she will also be sadly missed by her brother Joe, sisters Pauline and Ethna, extended family and many friends.
