Ni­amh keeps em­balm­ing busi­ness in the fam­ily

IT MIGHT NOT be a ca­reer that many peo­ple would think of tak­ing up, but for a third gen­er­a­tion mem­ber of a lo­cal fam­ily em­balm­ing is a nat­u­ral pro­gres­sion hav­ing worked in the in­dus­try for years al­ready.

Ark­low-girl Ni­amh Sweeney re­cently com­pleted her for­mal qual­i­fi­ca­tion af­ter more than three years of study in or­der to con­tinue the tra­di­tion that her grand­fa­ther John Sweeney started many years ago in town.

Along with her par­ents Ned and Frances, Ni­amh is a fa­mil­iar face at the Fair­green­based busi­ness and while in col­lege al­ways helped out.
