Half time saw three changes for the hosts with Richie Ka­vanagh, Cathal Wo­gan and Bar­coe mak­ing way for Gary McGrath, Si­mon Chad­wick and Gar­rett Dunne and Dunne al­most had an in­stant im­pact when his cross from the right gave Bourke the chance to open the scor­ing but he got his header all wrong.

And that miss was made look a lot more sig­nif­i­cant when Rangers opened the scor­ing with their first chance of the game seven min­utes later. A right wing cross was missed by ev­ery­body but com­ing in from the left was Stephen Davis and his shot slipped through the fin­gers of Wall.

The home side didn’t let their heads drop though and pushed on for an equal­izer and once more it was Bourke at the heart of things in the 64 th minute when he latched onto a long ball for­ward be­fore hold­ing off his man and send­ing his shot trick­ling just inches wide of the far post.

But for all En­niskerry’s good play they came un­done in the last few min­utes as they con­ceded two goals in five min­utes.
