Panic alarm raised over in­tox­i­cated man in pub

A BRAY MAN was fined €350 when he ap­peared be­fore Judge Mur­rough Con­nel­lan at last week’s sit­ting of Bray District Court.

Ed­ward Jack­son (32), 1 Lower Dar­gle Road, Bray was charged with be­ing in­tox­i­cated in a pub­lic place and re­fus­ing to give his name and ad­dress at The Har­bour Bar, Bray on Au­gust 22, 2009.

Garda Louise Jack­son said she re­sponded to a panic alarm from the Har­bour Bar at 6.40pm and Jack­son was in­tox­i­cated and re­fused to give his de­tails.

The court heard Jack­son had a num­ber of pre­vi­ous con­vic­tions. Act­ing for Jack­son so­lic­i­tor Joe Maguire said Jack­son apol­o­gised for his be­hav­iour say­ing he was go­ing through a bad phase at the time.

Judge Con­nel­lan fined him €100 for be­ing in­tox­i­cated and €250 for re­fus­ing to give his name and ad­dress.
