Bray People - - School Report -

SWINE FLU was far from everyone’s mind recently as they tucked into a roast pig during the Swine Flu Barbecue in Bray.

Organised by the 5th Wicklow Bray Sea Scouts to celebrate their participation in the Dun Laoghaire regatta the barbecue was a great success.

The members of Bray Sea Scouts took part in the regatta for the first time in a number of years and were delighted to take home three pieces of silverware having secured a first, second and third place.

After the regatta which saw the club’s skiff, Cailin Ban, being used in a regatta for the first time, everyone headed back to the Scout Den for an evening’s festivities.

A pig had been roasting in the Scout Den since early that morning and was sending mouthwatering aromas into the air and on arrival everyone tucked into the delicious animal.

The weather on the evening remained fine and dry and the club didn’t have to use their back up plan of a tent in the ground of the Harbour Bar.
