Nancy gets huge surprise on 90th birthday
BIRTHDAY GIRL Nancy Gammell felt like a princess recently as she celebrated her 90th birthday.
Nancy who hails from Three Trout, Killincarrig, got the surprise of her life when a limo pulled up to her door to whisk her off to her hairdressers on Main Street, Kilcoole.
But the surprises were far from over as when she reached the hairdressers the staff had organized balloons and a birthday cake for Nancy. Not only that but they also sang Happy Birthday to her out on the street.
Nancy was collected from her appointment by limo and instead of heading home as she thought she was brought to the home of her daughter, Imelda McLoughlin, at New Road, Killincarrig.
Awaiting her then was a number of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was overwhelmed by her surprise party and was delighted to see so many of her family there.
Nancy who is predeceased by her husband Michael and son Peter has eight children, Georgie, Michael, Liam, Francis, Imelda, Marion, Niall and Ken.
Returning home in the limo Nancy said she had felt like Princess Grace for the day.
Friends and family joined Nancy Gamell for her 90th birthday in Greystones.
