A NEW PROJECT aimed at assisting homeless people in the Bray area to find suitable accommodation and return to independent living was launched this week.

‘ Sa Bhaile’ is a joint project of Queen of Peace Parish, St. Vincent de Paul and the Order of the Knights of St. Columbanus.

The project will assist homeless people in the Bray area to secure accommodation and will then provide its clients with a programme which will help them return to independent living.

‘We are aware of the problem of homelessness in Bray and we plan to make a contribution towards allevi- ating the situation by assisting a number of homeless people to secure accommodation,’ said Sa Bhaile chairman Fr. Larry White PP.

‘ It is also very important that homeless people who secure accommodation are given the supports that they need towards a return to independent living and we plan to provide such supports over an extended period.’

Sa Bhaile is currently recruiting a Project Coordinator who will manage the project and it is hoped that the first clients will be placed in suitable accommodation over the coming months.
