Hockey club nets much needed funds

Bray People - - NEWS -

THE SUN SHONE on Bray Hockey Club last weekend when they held a fun day including fabulous vintage cars, bouncing castles, bungee run races, face painting and more.

There was an art wall for visitor to splash a bit of paint, tin can and sponge throwing games as well as a much-needed teddy bear’s hospital where nurse Rachel bandaged and mended some injured toys. The ambulance was kindly

Eugene provided Finnegan.

There were stalls full of bric-a-brac, books, toys, cakes and a barbecue sponsored by Donovan’s butchers in Enniskerry.

Lauren Kelly from Spin FM was there to MC the event. The club raised enough money to pay for some badly needed first aid equipment and training. The club would like to thank everyone who attended to make the event so successful and those that donated and sponsored items, KBC Bank, Mick Glynn, Donovan butchers, Ed Sports, Wicklow Vintage Cars, Powercity and especially Jackie & John Doyle and family.

The junior club (from age 4 to 15, boys and girls) starts back on Sunday October 4, with registration on Sunday September 27.
