Judge happy with teen’s progress

A 17-YEAR-OLD who ap­peared in Bray District Court last week on charges of pub­lic drunk­en­ness, bur­glary, dis­or­derly con­duct, steal­ing a car and ob­struct­ing a peace of­fi­cer, all on a num­ber of dates be­tween April and May, has been put in to foster care.

The young­ster strug­gled to fix his tie as he stood be­fore Judge Mur­rough Con­nel­lan, who said that he is very sat­is­fied with the ju­ve­nile’s change in cir­cum­stances.

He has been in the care of a rel­a­tive since June.

The youth, who can­not be named as he is un­der 18, will ap­pear in court again in De­cem­ber for an up­date.
