Lost control after too much drinking
AN AVOCA MAN who ‘lost his temper’ after a drinking session in Arklow has received the benefit of the Probation Act at District Court.
Patrick McDaid from 13 Woodview Park was charged on November 1, 2008 after gardaí were called by security staff at Sally O’Brien’s.
The court heard that staff had to hold McDaid until gardaí arrived. He was highly intoxicated and aggressive and was a danger to himself and others.
The defendant apologised to the court for his actions and said he lost his temper after he was forced out of the premises.
Judge Murrough Connellan warned him that he should be careful about his drinking.
