TRAINEE BEAUTICIAN REPRESENTS COUNTY IN 2009 MISS IRELAND PAGEANT
ALTHOUGH SHE didn’t make it in to the top ten at the finals of the 2009 Miss Ireland pageant, Bray beauty Aimee Doyle was a great ambassador for her town and county in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire at the weekend.
The 20-year-old Face of Bray winner had been a favourite of the bookies in the run-up to the competition and made a stun- ning appearance in front of 400 audience members at the soldout event.
‘She said that she was absolutely thrilled to have represented her county and to have been a finalist at the 2009 Miss Ireland pageant.
‘I am so excited and proud to have represented Bray and County Wicklow,’ said Aimee, adding that her year since winning the Face of Bray has been fulfilling and rewarding.
Aimee is looking forward to continuing that role until June 2010. ‘I would like to thank everyone, including my sponsors the Porterhouse, the Face of Bray team and especially my family, for their support and inspiration not only during Miss Ireland but throughout the year,’ said Aimee.
Face of Bray Director Katrina Farrelly-Cooke described Aimee as being one of the Face of Bray competition’s outstanding ambassadors. ‘We’re so delighted and so proud of Aimee. It is such an honour to represent your county at Miss Ireland, and Aimee has been one of the most exciting and popular Face of Bray winners and Miss Ireland contestants.
Aimee has been a fantastic ambassador for Bray and County Wicklow and this weekend she has been a superb ambassador for Miss Ireland.’
As well as continuing her official Face of Bray duties until June 2010, Aimee continues her studies as a trainee beautician.
