Fun­ny­man Tom Binns in town

BRAY’S MR. COM­EDY, Frank Gor­don, was so im­pressed when he saw co­me­dian Tom Binns at the Edin­gurgh fes­ti­val this year that he booked him straight away.

Binns plays the char­ac­ter Ivan Brack­en­bury, a hospi­tal ra­dio DJ, who plays re­quests to the hospi­tal pa­tients on the ra­dio sta­tion in the lo­cal hospi­tal in Ch­ester­field.

He plays Bray’s Martello on Wed­nes­day Oc­to­ber 7 and the Queens in Dalkey on Thurs­day Oc­to­ber 8 at € 12 a pop.

Sup­port­ing will be Ai­dan Bishop. Ai­dan hosts the In­ter na­tional Com­edy Club in Dublin ev­ery Thurs­day, Fri­day and Satur­day night. He has per­formed at the Ed­in­burgh Fes­ti­val in 2008 and 2009 and has ap­peared at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs . An­drew Stan­ley, MC of Ire­land’s long­est run­ning com­edy club ‘ the Cel­lar’, hosts the night. BRAY AC­TIVE RE­TIRE­MENT As­so­ci­a­tion will present a good neigh­bour morn­ing on Thurs­day Oc­to­ber 1 at 10.45 a.m. in the Lit­tle Flower Hall at Holy Redeemer.

The as­so­ci­a­tion is open to any­one aged 50 and older. Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude sport, ed­u­ca­tion and so­cial­is­ing.

New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come.
