Soup and sambos are back
THE SOUP & sandwiches lunches in the Presbyterian Hall, Trafalgar Road, Greystones, will recommence on Tuesday October 6 from 12.30 p.m. to p.m.
Organisers said that the lunches will provide a place where people can gather and renew old friendships, make new friends and enjoy the banter while they relax and enjoy a homemade meal at reasonable cost.
‘There will always be a special welcome for those people who have recently moved into the area and who are perhaps trying to make new friends and meet some of the more established locals,’ said a representative. The lunches are held on the first Tuesday of each month and continue up to and including May.
There will be homemade soups with brown bread, freshly made sandwiches, baked goods and tea or coffee. Admission is just €5. St. Patrick’s Church in Greystones also hosts a similar soup and sandwiches lunch and these are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the parish centre.
