Soup and sam­bos are back

THE SOUP & sand­wiches lunches in the Pres­by­te­rian Hall, Trafal­gar Road, Grey­stones, will recom­mence on Tues­day Oc­to­ber 6 from 12.30 p.m. to p.m.

Or­gan­is­ers said that the lunches will pro­vide a place where peo­ple can gather and re­new old friend­ships, make new friends and en­joy the ban­ter while they re­lax and en­joy a home­made meal at rea­son­able cost.

‘There will al­ways be a spe­cial wel­come for those peo­ple who have re­cently moved into the area and who are per­haps try­ing to make new friends and meet some of the more es­tab­lished lo­cals,’ said a rep­re­sen­ta­tive. The lunches are held on the first Tues­day of each month and con­tinue up to and in­clud­ing May.

There will be home­made soups with brown bread, freshly made sand­wiches, baked goods and tea or cof­fee. Ad­mis­sion is just €5. St. Pa­trick’s Church in Grey­stones also hosts a sim­i­lar soup and sand­wiches lunch and th­ese are held on the third Tues­day of each month in the parish cen­tre.
