THE SEASON began for the Enniskerry Community Games group last week with a big party to mark the onset of training.

Children over the age of six are invited to take part this year and anyone from the Enniskerry and Kilmacanogue area is welcome to get involved.

Training will take place every Tuesday evening at the GAA grounds in the village. For the next couple of weeks it will be at 5.30 p.m. until there is more of a stretch in the evenings.

‘It’s a great opportunity to come along and get your children fit for life,’ said Darine Nuttal. She explained that the community games involves athletics training at a very low cost to families. ‘All are welcome,’ she said. ‘The kids get running and doing physical exercises.’
