In­ter­change work to fin­ish up soon

WORKS at Grey­stones In­ter­change will soon be com­pleted.

Cllr. Tom For­tune raised the mat­ter at last week’s meet­ing of Grey­stones Town Coun­cil and won­dered if the traf­fic was go­ing to be able to pass through the town prop­erly when com­pleted.

Cllr. James O’Sul­li­van said there had been con­cerns about the bus lay-by and won­dered if it would be ca­pa­ble of ac­com­mo­dat­ing Dublin Bus while Cllr. Ge­orge Jones said de­spite the con­cerns the bus lay by looked very well. Cllr. Stephen Stokes won­dered if there would be bi­cy­cle racks in­stalled and won­dered when th­ese would be com­pleted. Cllr. Chris Maloney said he hoped he would never see the day when ma­jor road works took place in the town in the run up to Christ­mas. Town en­gi­neer Eoin Hes­lin said there was no is­sue with ac­com­mo­dat­ing Dublin Bus and said the works were due to be com­pleted within two weeks. ‘We are do­ing sur­face dress­ing at the mo­ment and flag­ging the bike rack.’ He said the snag­ging will com­mence shortly and said that while the works were a lit­tle be­hind sched­ule it was only by a num­ber of weeks.
