St. Ger­ard’s to host fine art exhibit for fourth time

ST. GER­ARD’S SCHOOL is to host the Cher­ry­lane Fine Arts 4th an­nual con­tem­po­rary fine art ex­hi­bi­tion at the week­end, fol­low­ing three suc­cess­ful years of wel­com­ing vis­i­tors to the char­ity event.

Festina Lente in Bray will ben­e­fit from the pro­ceeds and the show will be on From Thurs­day March 4 to Sun­day March 7. On Thurs­day and Fri­day it will be open from 2 p.m. and Satur­day and Sun­day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The show boasts over 200 works in a range of medi­ums and prices. Works in oil, draw­ings, ce­ram­ics, sculp­ture and fine art prints by some of Ire­lands lead­ing con­tem­po­rary artists will be on dis­play.

The ex­hi­bi­tion will in­clude a Cher­ry­lane Young Artist Award where all of the pupils sub­mit art works to the gallery and they run a vet­ting, choose win­ners in each cat­e­gory and the win­ners are pre­sented with a spe­cial award. The awards cer­e­mony will be on the Fri­day evening.

All are wel­come and pur­chas­ing is not com­pul­sory. There will be tours for chil­dren and adults as well as a ce­ram­i­cist on site show­ing how it’s done.
