Boys in Green set for Ark­low re­turn

ARK­LOW TOWN Foot­ball Club once again wel­comes the Repub­lic of Ire­land U-16 team to Bridgewater Cen­tre Park for a friendly fix­ture be­tween John Mor­ling’s na­tional side and the Ark­low Town/Sh­effield United U-16 Academy next Wed­nes­day (March 10).

The Ark­low club agreed a co-op­er­a­tive part­ner­ship agree­ment with English club Sh­effield United last sum­mer and their U-16 Academy side will face the young boys in green.

The Repub­lic of Ire­land’s U16 squad con­sists of an elite group of play­ers who are be­ing de­vel­oped un­der man­ager John Mor­ling to step up to com­pet­i­tive at UEFA Cham­pi­onship stan­dard and hav­ing ear­lier this month faced Italy , Por­tu­gal and Hol­land in tour­na­ment action out in Al­bufeira, will now re­turn to home shores and the short trek down to Ark­low.

Ad­mis­sion for the clash be­tween the Ark­low Town/Sh­effield United Academy and the Repub­lic of Ire­land U16’s is free and takes place at Ark­low’s Bridgewater Cen­tre Park, Lam­ber­ton on Wed­nes­day, March 10 with a 7.00pm kick off.
