NORDIC Walk­ing classes con­tinue to at­tract good num­bers in Kill­rud­dery on Satur­day morn­ings at 10 and 11.30 a.m. and on Sun­days at 11 a.m.

So much so that they are now adding a 10.30 a.m. class on a Thurs­day in Kill­rud­dery also and classes can be eas­ily set up by ar­range­ment for groups of 3 or more.

Nordic Walk­ing uses two poles and the nat­u­ral walk­ing move­ment to walk more ef­fi­ciently and burns up to 50 per cent more calo­ries than nor­mal walk­ing by us­ing your up­per body as well as your lower body when walk­ing.
