Hot Spot wel­comes poet Elaine Feeney

SPO­KEN WORD per­former Elaine Feeney is to per­form in Grey­stones at the Speakeasy Cabaret in the Hot Spot cof­fee­house on Fri­day March 4.

She has a di­rect, emo­tional style and cov­ers many top­i­cal is­sues in an en­gag­ing way. The critic Kevin Hig­gins wrote that Elaine's po­ems ‘ are full of dis­sat­is­fied ide­al­ism which re­fuses to ac­cept that things have to be as bad as they are. In poem af­ter poem her wit makes her anger palat­able for the reader’.

Elaine will be joined on stage by a di­verse range of mu­si­cians spo­ken word per­form­ers through­out the evening, which will be MC'd by Dave Lor­dan.
