Audi is best selling premium brand in 2010
AUDI AG sold around 1,092,400 cars in the past year, exceeding the Company's annual sales forecasts, and thus recorded its best ever year in terms of sales. In Ireland, Audi retained its position as the best selling premium brand by recording a 14% increase in sales compared to 2009.
‘2010 was another strong and successful year for Audi in Ireland as we retained our position as the best selling premium brand in the market,’ said Andrew Doyle, Managing Director, Audi Ireland.
‘Our performance was enhanced by the launch of some outstanding new models during the year including the Audi A8, A1 and A7. In 2011 we will bring even more new models to the Irish market including the much anticipated allnew A6 (C7) luxury saloon, the Q3 SUV and the exhilarating new RS3 Sportback. These new models will complement our existing advanced technology products and significantly bolster our position as the number one premium brand in Ireland.’
In Ireland Audi's best performing model in 2010 was once again the A4 saloon but sales increases were recorded for the A3, A6, A8, A5 and Q5. Particularly strong sales performances were recorded by the A5 Sportback and Q5 SUV. There has also been strong demand for the exciting all-new A1 launched in September and the elegant A7 launched in October. Demand for these models is expected to drive sales for Audi in 2011.
