YOUTH CLUB

Win­ners in the Queen of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club tal­ent competition were “Celtic Kit­tens”, “Dancing Dy­na­mite”, and “Jib and Jab”. March club ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude night climb Small Su­gar­loaf, Glen of the Downs night walk, Dar­gle Val­ley night walk, swim­ming, in­tro­duc­tion to scuba div­ing, and rock climb­ing.

DIV­ING CLUB

On March 12 the Bray Divers Sub-Aqua Club will be run­ning a re­gional Res­cue Diver course. This will be the fifth year that this has been held in Bray. Venue will be the Boathouse on the Seafront.

ROW­ING CLUB

Robert Byrne was given a huge wel­come home in the Bray Row­ing Club fol­low­ing his suc­cess­ful row across the At­lantic Ocean from Africa to Bar­ba­dos. He was in a team of six, and they broke two world records. Robert is a big strong lad, and he now has, and for some­time into the fu­ture a big grin when­ever he thinks of how this ad­ven­ture made a dream come through. What comes next? Well Robert will ad­vise and en­cour­age oth­ers about how to re­alise their hopes of do­ing some­thing sim­i­lar. Well done to Robert and team mates.

Parish Li­turgy Group: Any­one in­ter­ested in join­ing this Group can con­tact Fr. Larry and thus as­sist the Group to pro­vide Masses that truly cel­e­brate our faith and en­rich the life of the Parish.

The Pi­o­neer As­so­ci­a­tion: To­day (Wed­nes­day) the an­nual Pi­o­neer As­so­ci­a­tion Mass will be cel­e­brated at 7.30pm. Any­one wish­ing to join the Pi­o­neer As­so­ci­a­tion can do so at this Mass. Light re­fresh­ments will be served in the Villa Pacis af­ter­wards. For fur­ther in­for­ma­tion call 01-286 3111.

Se­niors Bingo: This takes place on Wed­nes­day af­ter­noons from 2pm to 4pm in the Villa Pacis - all wel­come.

Charis­matic Prayer Group: This Group meets on Thurs­day nights at 8pm in the Villa Pacis.

Bap­tism: Bap­tisms take place on Our Lady Queen of Peace Church on the 2nd Sun­day of the Month.

2011 Holy Land Pil­grim­age: The Parish Pil­grim­age to the Holy Land will take place from Mon­day May 23rd to Tues­day May 31st 2011. The cost is €1150 per per­son shar­ing, Half Board. Non-re­fund­able book­ing de­posit €250 - lim­ited num­bers. Those in­ter­ested are asked to con­tact the Parish Of­fice or Fr. Larry on 01-286 2346.

2011 Lour­des Pil­grim­age: This will take place from Septem­ber 7th to Septem­ber 12th. To­tal cost €689 - De­posit Cost €50. Fur­ther de­tails from 01-2745497 be­tween 10am and 1pm.

Apos­tolic Visi­ta­tion: The Apos­tolic Visi­ta­tion by Arch­bishop Sean O'Mal­ley has be­gun and he is will­ing, is so far as pos­si­ble to meet with parish­ioners. Those wish­ing to meet him should write c/o The Apos­tolic Nun­cia­ture, 183 Na­van Road, Dublin 7. Please mark the letter ' Con­fi­den­tial '.

Book­ing of Masses: Mass Cards and the book­ing of Masses will be looked af­ter in St. Lau­rence's Of­fice in the Villa Pacis (be­side the Parish Of­fice). If you are un­able to get the date you re­quire, per­haps it may help to have the per­son in­cluded in the Mass on that date.

New Hymn Books: New hymn books have been pur­chased and will be avail­able all around the Church. Please use them at Mass as singing is very im­por­tant for our cel­e­bra­tions. Please do not re­move them from the Church.

The World Day of Prayer: The Ser­vice which has been pre­pared by the women of Chile takes place next Satur­day at 11am in The Well, Main Street Bray (op­po­site the Royal Ho­tel). All wel­come.

World Youth Day: 5 young peo­ple from the parish will be at­tend­ing this event in Madrid, Spain, in Au­gust -Shane Whe­lan, Bent­ley Park; Fiona Do­herty, Seacrest; Is­abella Veale, Avoca Drive; Laura Green, Wood­brook Lawn; and Zahraa Mo­hamed, Put­land Vil­las. Please pray for them as they pre­pare for this pil­grim­age.

Prayer Cards for Con­fir­ma­tion Chil­dren: Cards will be left on a ta­ble in the Church. Parish­ioners are wel­come to take a card and pray for the young per­son named on the cho­sen card. Please re­turn the card to the ta­ble be­fore leav­ing the Church. Thank you.

Cel­e­brat­ing 21 Years of Per­pet­ual Ado­ra­tion: There will be a Holy Hour ev­ery Fri­day at 8pm for Lent led by Fr. God­fey - Sta­tions of the Cross, Chap­lets of Divine Mercy and Rosary.

Bray Churches To­gether: Bray Churches To­gether will hold ' Church Mu­sic of Lent ' with Tim Thurston of RTE Lyric Glo­ria fame in St. Fer­gal's Church, Bal­ly­waltrim, at 8pm on Tues­day March 15th at 8pm.

Novena of Grace: This will take place from Fri­day to the fol­low­ing Satur­day (March 12th) di­rected by Fr. Kieran Cronin, OFM. Novena prayers will be said at the 10am and 1.05pm Masses. Fr. Cronin will speak at the 10am Mass only. The Prayer Pe­ti­tion Box will be in the Church.

Child Pro­tec­tion Pol­icy: A copy of the Parish Child Pro­tec­tion Pol­icy can be viewed in the Parish Of­fices.

Bethany Be­reave­ment Group: The Our Lady Queen of Peace Bethany Sup­port hold a Drop-In evening on the first Tues­day of ev­ery month at the Villa Pacis at 8.30pm for those suf­fer­ing loss of ev­ery kind. STROKE CLUB

North Wick­low/ Bray Stroke Club Meets ev­ery Mon­day morn­ing 10am-12noon in the Villa Pacis be­side Our Queen of Peace Church. If you have been af­fected by a stroke or are a carer and would like to come along you will be most wel­come.

AC­TIVE RE­TIRE­MENT

A meet­ing takes place on March 11th at 11am in the Villa Pacis and all mem­bers are re­quested to at­tend. De­tails of out­ings and fu­ture events will be an­nounced.
