Big wins for challengers Arklow and Rathnew
ARKLOW TOWN and Rathnew AFC continue to sweep aside all before them in the U-17 League. Both recorded handsome victories at the weekend as they climbed up the table.
St. Anthony's were Town's victims as the Arklow side dished out a 0-7 hammering to the Kilcoole side at Finn Park to lift themselves up to second.
Shane Walker, Aidan O'Callaghan and Craig Kinsella all helped themselves to braces, while Lee Kenny chipped in with a single.
Rathnew's victory came at Shamrock Park where the Villagers enjoyed a comfortable 5-2 win over Dalkey United. Shane Doyle and Phillp Murphy both struck twice for the hosts against the Dubliners. Steven Olohan was also on target.
In other U-17 League results, Lakelands got the better of Railway Union A by two goals to nil, Tymon Celtic enjoyed a facile 1-4 win over Park Celtic and Enniskerry YC crashed to a 5-1 defeat away to fourth placed Granada A.
