St. Pat’s see off Kiltegan
St. Patrick’s 0-12 Kiltegan 0-8
KILTEGAN WERE out pointed by Wicklow Town side St. Patrick's in the first round of the SFL at Kiltegan on Saturday. Like all other teams in the league, both sides were without their county players with Kiltegan the hardest hit having to find replacements for Seánie Furlong, Jacko and Barry Dalton and Rory Finn.
Kiltegan set the pace in the first half and with John Keogh and county hurling star Geoffrey Bermingham picking off the points, they went in leading 0-6 to 0-4 at half-time.
However, the Wicklow boys got on top in the second half. Mark Byrne was deadly on the frees while Seán Tobin and Seán Duffy also kept picking off the points.
