Wednesday night will be cloudy and windy with scattered showers. Thursday will be a cool blustery day with sunny breaks, but with a wide scattering of showers. Winds will ease and Thursday night will be dry though cold with a sharp ground frost inland. Friday will begin dry, but strengthening southerly winds will spread rain countrywide during the afternoon and evening.
Saturday itself will be cold and very windy with widespread showers, many heavy with the risk of hail and gale force southwest winds.
