‘Win­dows of the World’ gets un­der­way in schools

THIS YEAR'S ‘Win­dows of the World' schools ini­tia­tive is un­der­way, with a num­ber of am­bas­sadors from dif­fer­ent na­tions al­ready vis­it­ing schools.

The Fin­nish Am­bas­sador went to see the pupils of Marino School, the Ger­man Am­bas­sador went to St. Philom­ena's Ravenswell, the Am­bas­sador for Den­mark went to Bray School Pro­ject, and St. Cro­nan's boys played host to the Ital­ian Am­bas­sador.

A fur­ther seven vis­its will take place in the com­ing days, be­fore the chil­dren be­gin to dec­o­rate lo­cal shop win­dows in their in­ter­na­tional theme.

Each school will cre­ate a spe­cial dis­play which will be pre­sented in the win­dows of Bray traders dur­ing the St. Pa­trick's Fes­ti­val and prizes will be awarded to the win­ning en­tries.
