TY WORK EXPERIENCE
Congratulations to the TY students who completed their work experience before and during mid-term. Sincere thanks to the many employers who accommodated our students. We are extremely grateful to these businesses for facilitating this important part of the TY programme.
Our school had four teams in the Hoofprints League which took place in Ashford last weekend. Two teams qualified for the jump off with the team of Maria Breen, Alison McDermott, Leah Holt and Laura Kinsella achieving fourth place. Congratulations to all involved.
The Hurling Blitz in Bunclody last week was a great success for our hurlers. They played three matches and won all of them. Well done to all involved.
GARDA BAND PERFORMANCE
Congratulations to all involved with the musical evening which took place over the mid-term in the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey. The evening began with our senior ensemble of musicians, David Conway, Ben Cooper, Orla Hughes, Coral Barry and Chris and Timothy Quaid. They performed with that Garda Band. This was followed by an exceptional performance by the Quaid family and singing by Natasha Smyth and Ben Cooper. David Conway had the honour of a solo performance with the Garda Band.
It was a wonderful occasion and many thanks to all members of the Garda Band.
Well done to Mark and Shane Hoare who represented the school recently the Leinster Schools Orienteering League. Mark has now qualified for the Leinster final. We wish him all the best.
