Phe­lim Byrne will give a Cook­ery demon­stra­tion Stress Free En­ter­tain­ing at Home on Thurs­day next in the Ash­down Park Ho­tel, Gorey. It prom­ises to be an ex­cel­lent night out. Tick­ets cost €20. Pro­ceeds go to­wards the Kil­i­man­jaro Pro­ject and your sup­port would be greatly ap­pre­ci­ated.


Congratulations to the TY stu­dents who com­pleted their work ex­pe­ri­ence be­fore and dur­ing mid-term. Sin­cere thanks to the many em­ploy­ers who ac­com­mo­dated our stu­dents. We are ex­tremely grate­ful to these busi­nesses for fa­cil­i­tat­ing this im­por­tant part of the TY pro­gramme.


Our school had four teams in the Hoof­prints League which took place in Ash­ford last week­end. Two teams qual­i­fied for the jump off with the team of Maria Breen, Ali­son McDer­mott, Leah Holt and Laura Kin­sella achiev­ing fourth place. Congratulations to all in­volved.


The Hurl­ing Blitz in Bun­clody last week was a great suc­cess for our hurlers. They played three matches and won all of them. Well done to all in­volved.


Congratulations to all in­volved with the mu­si­cal evening which took place over the mid-term in the Am­ber Springs Ho­tel, Gorey. The evening be­gan with our se­nior en­sem­ble of mu­si­cians, David Conway, Ben Cooper, Orla Hughes, Co­ral Barry and Chris and Ti­mothy Quaid. They per­formed with that Garda Band. This was fol­lowed by an ex­cep­tional per­for­mance by the Quaid fam­ily and singing by Natasha Smyth and Ben Cooper. David Conway had the hon­our of a solo per­for­mance with the Garda Band.

It was a won­der­ful oc­ca­sion and many thanks to all mem­bers of the Garda Band.


Well done to Mark and Shane Hoare who rep­re­sented the school re­cently the Le­in­ster Schools Ori­en­teer­ing League. Mark has now qual­i­fied for the Le­in­ster fi­nal. We wish him all the best.
