Fifth year LCVP students would like to extend a big thank you to the team from Elavon who took the time to prepare and interview them last week. The students were delighted to have the opportunity of doing a mock interview as for many it was a completely new experience.

Once again 5th year LCVP students will go out into the ‘real’ world as they have a week’s work experience. Arklow CC would like to extend their appreciation to all employers who are kind enough to take students on. The fifth years benefit hugely from this as it gives them a great insight into the world of work!

Congratulations to past pupil Darragh Snell who has been selected for the panel for the paraolympic soccer team in London 2012. The team is playing a warm up tournament in Dublin around St Patrick's weekend. Kick off game is against Holland on Monday, March 16. A group of students will travel to this match to cheer Ireland on. Good luck to Darragh and all the team.

Commiserations to the first year basketball team who were beaten by Avondale CC last week. Most valuable players include Jack Hennessy who scored a whopping 13 points and Joe Ledwith who scored 7 points. A special mention for Dillon Mordaunt who played a great game and never gave up which resulted in him being awarded most determined player.
