ACTIVE RETIRED BINGO
The Roundwood Active Retirement Fun Bingo will recommence on Thursday 10th March at 8pm in the Old School Roundwood. Family members and friends are more than welcome to come along. New members are always welcome.
Roundwood & District Community Council will meet at 8pm on Monday 14th March in the Old School Roundwood. New member are welcome.
The next dance in Roundwood Parish Hall/Centre will be on the 25th March music will be by Tony Davitt. On the 15th April music will be by Golden Dream and on the 20th May music by Gerry Galvin and the Wicklow man will play on the 17th June and Rio on the 15th July. Dancing is from 9.30pm - 12 midnight with tea and a raffle. There will be a tea dance on Sunday 13th March 2011 from 3pm - 6pm with music by William Belton and we will also have a tea dance on 5th June from 3pm - 6pm with music by William also.
There will be an afternoon tea dance in Roundwood Parish Centre on Sunday 13th March from 3pm - 6pm with music by William. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy.
A pilgrimage S.M.A to Knock will take place on the Sunday 28th May leaving Laragh at 7a.m. via Roundwood at 7.30a.m. Bus €25 per person. Names to Susan at 0404 45276.
The Unity Gospel Choir will hold a concert in Roundwood Parish Hall on Friday 1st April from 8pm - 10.30pm. Admission €10 with all money raised going to The Wicklow Mountain Rescue. Tickets are in Justines shop or can be bought on the door on the night.
BUS TOUR TO AUSTRIA
A ten day tour of Austria St Anton and Lake Constance will take place from 29th June to 8th July. No flying involved just coach and cruise. Places to visit are Rotterdam, Germany, Vavaria Innsbruck and Black Forest. We also will visit the largest waterfall in Europe, the Rhein Falls. Names and €100 deposit is required as soon as possible to Susan at 0404 45276 any evening after 8pm.
Our annual biathlon which was cancelled due to bad weather in December, will now take place on St. Patrick's Day. Whether you fancy a stroll, run, cycle or both come join us for a great afternoon out. With refreshments afterwards music and crack in Kavanagh's you are guaranteed a great Paddy's Day. The next event we are entering is crosscountry running, any child interested in taking part should get their name to Brendan Lawlor or Anne Marah by next Friday night. There is Under 8, 10, 12,13,14, and 16s. The competition is on in Rathdrum on 28th March. We are hoping to have a large number of enteries for this event.
MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
The Annual Mass of Remembrance for former parishioners and family members of parishioners who died since our Mass last March, will take place on Saturday 19th March at 6.30pm
Circuit training and body conditioning starting Tuesday 22nd March from 7-8pm at the parish hall, Roundwood, €7.50 per class or sign up for 8 classes for €55, please bring a mat/water and plenty of energy
Did you play badminton as a youngster and would like to give it a go again? Now's your chance - join us for an hour of fun badminton on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am in the sports complex. Spare rackets are available, Age/fitness level no barrier, so no excuses.
The Wicklow Man will play in Moneystown Community Centre on Friday 11th March from 9.30pm until 12. Teas, spot prizes, refresments also available. Come along and enjoy a night of waltzing,jive etc. Back next month is John Flood on 8th April. Upcoming dates, Wicklow Man 13th May and Richie Halpin on 10th June.

Friday 4th March saw Maria Magee and Rowena Brady take 1st place with June Digby and Monica Brady taking 2nd whilst Marian Coyle and Triona Woodroofe were 3rd , Carol Vambeck and Sinead Madden were 4th and Mollie Byrne and Rachel Judd were 5th. All members and visitors please note there will be no Bridge in Roundwood on Friday 11th and 18th March respectively. Bridge resumes again on Friday 25th March at 9.45am sharp. all welcome no partner required.
Roundwood Ploughing Society held their annual Ploughing Match on Saturday the 26th of February last. We would sincerely like to thank the following Mr. John Byrne, Knockatemple for providing an excellent site, the sponsors, the Judges Tom Jenkinson, Tom McDonald, James Murphy, James Sutton, Pat Spratt, Joe McGrath and Mick Murphy, Joe Kavanagh, Vartry House for the use of his premises for meetings throughout the year, Jurgen and Aine Schwalm and the staff of the Roundwood Inn who provided a beautiful meal as always for everybody concerned, and finally the competitors who came in such large numbers, thirty six in all including three sets of horses one of the biggest turnouts in Roundwood for many years.

Finally, the County Ploughing Dinner Dance was held last Saturday night in The Grand Hotel, Wicklow, and a very enjoyable night was had by all. We would like to thank the Hotel for a beautiful meal, Images who provided great music as usual and everyone for coming and making the night such a success.
ST PATRICK’S DANCING
We will celebrate St Patrick's night in true Irish Style with a Set Dance Party in Kavanagh's Lounge on Thursday, 17th March from 9.30pm with live music by Michael, Matt and Brian. Tickets at €10 are now available from any member or phone 087 2121522. Food served on the night.
