St. Kil­ian’s tops ‘Build a Bank’ con­test

THE ST. KIL­IAN'S Build A Bank group were crowned over­all win­ners at last week's re­gional fi­nal for the AIB ini­tia­tive.

The fi­nal took place last Thurs­day in the Ark­low Bay Ho­tel. 14 schools from the re­gion were in at­ten­dance and the stan­dard was very high.

St. Ki­lan's now face the win­ning schools from all the other re­gions in the county in May.

' We hope we can do as well at the na­tion­als as we have done the last num­ber of years in the re­gion­als,' said busi­ness teacher Tracey Bro­phy, a huge thank you to our loyal cus­tomers that re­turn twice a week to make lodge­ments and to Su­san Tyrell from AIB who has been a huge help through­out the year.'

Ash­leigh Martin was man­ager and Graham Sut­ton man­ager of the Tran­si­tion Year bank.

Re­becca Briggs is the sales and mar­ket­ing ex­ec­u­tive, Carol Thorn­ton the au­di­tor, and three tell­ers in Me­gan Han­lon, Jono McCor­mack and Michaela McGrath.
