Car burnt out in Enniskerry

Bray People - - NEWS -

A CAR WAS BURNED out in Enniskerry on Monday night, in the latest of a spate of arson attacks in the area.

The Bray Fire Brigade called to the gates of the Powerscourt estate at around 8.30 p.m. on Monday where the vehicle was up in flames.

They quickly extinguished the blaze and gardai are now investigating the cause of the fire.

This follows a number of vehicle fires in the Wicklow area in recent weeks, including the destruction of two special needs busses outside Marino Clinic towards the end of February, and vehicles parked outside Homeland Furniture on Bray's Dublin Road.

It was a Sunday night when the Marino fire broke out. One person was seen running away from the area and the local firemen worked to prevent a spread to the building itself. Anyone with any information can contact Bray Garda Station on (01) 6665300 or the garda confidential line on 1800 666 666.
