Wide range of plants at Cappagh Nurseries

Bray People - - SPRING GARDENING -

VAN DER Wel ltd (Cappagh Nurseries), we are a small family business working with dedicated family and staff.

Established since 1967. We started to grow forest and hedging plants in the townland of Cappagh about 4km to the west of Aughrim village in 1967.

In 1990 we aquired land at Tinnakilly, just outside the village of Aughrim on the Rathdrum - Dublin road, where we further developed our nursery and sales outlet. We now supply a wide range of plants. This time of year we all are eager to get gardening, with the days getting milder and longer.

No garden would be complete without an area for growing fruit and vegetables. It can be enormous fun to plan and produce a regular supply of vegetables and fruit.

A cared plot also has its own visual appeal too. Herbs are another easy option. Why not plant native trees and shrubs. Not only are these plants extremely good value to buy (an important consideration in these harsh economic times), but there is such a variety to be got.

These plants survive the harsh winters and they provide a good food source for many of our native birds.

Now is the time to get planting so GET GARDENING !! and enjoy.
