Libraries around the country are celebrating the campaign with a wide range of activities including cookery demonstrations, author readings, book signings, writing workshops, opera workshops and much more.
Irene Gowing, sponsorship manager for Bord Gáis Energy said, 'we are thrilled to work alongside the public library service on this great initiative. The libraries provide fantastic facilities to the local community and this campaign really is a celebration of the work that librarians all over Ireland do on a daily basis.
'Our thanks go to Paul Howard who has given so generously of his time to attend this event and to the many librarians throughout Wicklow who have organised such fantastic events to celebrate the month,' she concluded.
