CLLR. STEPHEN Stokes has been ap­pointed Le­in­ster U19 & U16 man­ager for the 2011 Chess In­ter-Provin­cials on Fri­day and Satur­day. Le­in­ster will travel to Bal­li­nasloe, Co. Gal­way as de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons and are ex­pect­ing a tough battle with Con­nacht in par­tic­u­lar.

Cllr. Stokes said that it was a great hon­our and that prepa­ra­tions were at an ad­vanced stage. He will be joined by lo­cal chess prodigy Rory El­lard of St. Bren­dan's Col­lege who has been se­lected for Le­in­ster U16s.

Hope Again Hope Again is a vol­un­tary sup­port group for sep­a­rated/di­vorced men and women. It is run by pro­fes­sional coun­sel­lors and peo­ple who are them­selves sep­a­rated. Sep­a­ra­tion is trau­matic and af­fects all ar­eas of a per­son's life - emo­tional, phys­i­cal, fi­nan­cial and spir­i­tual. The next week­end is on April 1 to April 3 in Carrig Eden in Grey­stones and costs €100 in to­tal. The week­end of­fers sup­port and en­cour­age­ment in help­ing peo­ple to come to terms with sep­a­ra­tion and mov­ing on in their lives.
