LE­IN­STER JU­NIOR CUP FI­NAL

Congratulations to our U16 soc­cer team who qual­i­fied for the Le­in­ster fi­nal when they beat Bal­lyfer­mot 4-0 on Fri­day last. This was with­out a doubt a great achieve­ment for the team and a very proud mo­ment for the school. The best of luck to the en­tire team as we now play Rathoath on Wed­nes­day, March 9 in Lexlip.

TO BE OR NOT TO BE

Mr McIn­er­ney’s 5th year english class as part of their leav­ing cert pro­gramme will travel to the He­lix in Dublin to see the play Ham­let on Fri­day, March 11.

U.C.D. TRIP

On Thurs­day, March 3, a num­ber of tran­si­tion year stu­dents em­barked upon an in­for­ma­tional trip to U.C.D. Prior to re­turn­ing home the stu­dents vis­ited the Aviva Sta­dium where they also en­joyed an in­for­ma­tive tour.

FIRST YEAR RE­TREAT

On Fri­day, March 4, all first year stu­dents trav­elled to Glen­dalough for a day of re­flec­tion.

PHIL SPEAKS

De­bat­ing stu­dents Colm Fitz­patrick, James Kneale, Sean Mur­ray and Adam Duffy took part in a two-day de­bat­ing marathon in Trin­ity Col­lege re­cently.

The competition in­cor­po­rated four rounds of de­bates and was a great ex­pe­ri­ence for the stu­dents in­volved. Seach­tain na Gaeilge Seach­tain na gaeilge is in full swing around the school with a num­ber of com­pe­ti­tions and fun ac­tiv­i­ties or­gan­ised from March 5 to 17.
