Bray People - - SPORT -

THE HUGELY successful Just4Goalkeepers Wicklow is coming to Bray.

Former Manchester City and Republic of Ireland U21 shot-stopper Darren Quigley is the man at the helm of the fantastic initiative which has gone from strength to strength in recent times.

All children from the ages of seven/eight are encouraged to attend. 24-year-old Quigley currently tutors over 20 children in his Wicklow camp and has already had one success story, with Wicklow native Tommy Dunne having stood between the sticks for the Republic of Ireland schoolboy’s sides as well as receiving trials for Carling Cup champions Birmingham City and Aston Villa.

Not only will the children’s goalkeeping skills vastly improve, but their confidence also reaps the benefits from Quigley’s guidance, as several parents have noted: ‘J4K goalkeeping is a well-organised academy’, ‘professional, reliable and fun. We have our nine year old son and our 12 year old daughter attending and love it.

Darren has not only improved their skills considerably, he has also made it great fun to be a goalkeeper’ are just a couple of the glowing testaments paid to Quigley by pleased parents.

And Quigley is proud to boast that in his two years involved with the initiative, not one of his young netminders has left the camp – such is the level of enjoyment.

The J4K Bray training will take place in Presentation College Bray’s Astroturf every Tuesday evening. Eight to 12 year olds will be trained from 5-6pm and then they make way for the 13 and overs who train from 6-7pm.

Should you or your child be interested, the first lesson is free of charge and Darren can be contacted on 086-0261020 or email darrenquigley@just4keepers.ie.

Please contact Darren if you intend on attending his class as there is a limited amount of space so ring ahead to avoid disappointment.
