BBK send out a title warning with big win

Bray People - - SPORT -

IF YOU'RE looking to send out a message to your title rivals, a 0-8 thumping of the fourth best team in the league is certainly one way of doing it.

And that's precisely what BBK United did on Sunday. The Brittas side travelled to the Ballywaltrim Recreational Centre to take on St. Fergal's and romped to an eight-goal victory.

Willie Sinnott and Dave O'Shea were left fighting over the match ball at the end of the game after both hit hat-tricks. That made it two reasons to celebrate for O'Shea who this week became a father to baby Ciara.

The club would like to congratulate Dave and Tina on their new arrival.

Evergreen Declan Byrne also netted for United on Sunday, with an own goal completing the tally.

The pressure was then on Arklow United who needed a win against Wolfe Tone Celtic to reclaim top spot from United and an 87th minute winner from Eddie Kavanagh earned them the three points.
