THE ARK­LOW club trav­elled west to Kil­te­gan on Satur­day and picked up a valu­able brace of points in Divi­sion 1 of the SFL.It was a goal by Phillip Healy ten min­utes from time that sealed the is­sue af­ter a close enough con­test.

An­thony Fur­long opened the scor­ing with a point for the home side but AGB hit back with with two points from Niall Mul­lett frees. Mul­lett landed an­other point from play in the tenth minute but the game re­mained score­less for 18 min­utes be­fore county Mi­nor Ro­nan Byrne lifted the home side with a good point. The Ark­low men got on top and points by Mul­lett (free) and sub Alan McBride sent them in lead­ing by 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time - An­thony Fur­long get­ting a late point for Kil­te­gan.

AGB ex­tended their lead early in the sec­ond half but two points by John Keogh and one from Fur­long left only a point be­tween the sides. Healy beat goalie Alan Byrne to a cross and saw the break­ing ball roll to an empty net. John Byrne pulled back a point for Kil­te­gan but the ' Gers' fin­ished with points by Mul­lett and Healy to seal vic­tory.
