AGB beat Kiltegan

THE ARKLOW club travelled west to Kiltegan on Saturday and picked up a valuable brace of points in Division 1 of the SFL.It was a goal by Phillip Healy ten minutes from time that sealed the issue after a close enough contest.
Anthony Furlong opened the scoring with a point for the home side but AGB hit back with with two points from Niall Mullett frees. Mullett landed another point from play in the tenth minute but the game remained scoreless for 18 minutes before county Minor Ronan Byrne lifted the home side with a good point. The Arklow men got on top and points by Mullett (free) and sub Alan McBride sent them in leading by 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time - Anthony Furlong getting a late point for Kiltegan.
AGB extended their lead early in the second half but two points by John Keogh and one from Furlong left only a point between the sides. Healy beat goalie Alan Byrne to a cross and saw the breaking ball roll to an empty net. John Byrne pulled back a point for Kiltegan but the ' Gers' finished with points by Mullett and Healy to seal victory.
