Ap­pli­ca­tion made for pavil­ion re­fur­bish­ment

AN AP­PLI­CA­TION has been made to Bray Town Coun­cil for re­fur­bish­ments to the fire-rav­aged pavil­ion chang­ing room on the Tem­ple Vevay Sports Field.

The ap­pli­ca­tion, which was made on Fe­bru­ary 16, in­cludes ex­ten­sion and al­ter­ations to the ex­ist­ing sin­gle storey soc­cer chang­ing room pavil­ion build­ing into a two storey build­ing with a new main en­trance ex­ten­sion.

The new ex­ten­sion at first floor level will have three ad­min­is­tra­tion rooms, one kitch­enette, a store room, and plant room, while the ground floor will in­clude four soc­cer chang­ing rooms, one ref­eree chang­ing room, and a dis­abled toi­let.

The pavil­ion, lo­cated on O'Byrne Lane, off Vevay Road, is to have 12 park­ing spaces. A de­ci­sion is due on April 12.

An ar­son at­tack gut­ted the chang­ing fa­cil­ity in June 2008. Three clubs - Wolfe Tone Celtic, Glen­view FC and Su­gar­loaf FC were us­ing the build­ing at the time of the at­tack.
