Sup­port group kick up heels for funds

BRAY CANCER SUP­PORT cel­e­brated the eve of St. Pa­trick's Day with a Ceili in the Royal Ho­tel last Wed­nes­day evening. They man­aged to raise over €500 to­wards the on­go­ing fund for a new cen­tre as well as on­go­ing run­ning costs. De­clan Glenn and Sean Og pro­vided the mu­sic at the dance, and girls from the Caro­line Quincey School of dance en­ter­tained guests with a rous­ing per­for­mance. The night was or­gan­ised by Tom Ryan of Bank of Ire­land.

As well as the ad­mis­sion, ev­ery­one there took part in a raf­fle, with lots of great prizes on of­fer. Veron­ica O'Leary said that the evening was a great suc­cess. She said they were joined by a group staying in the ho­tel.

‘One lady, who is from North­ern Ire­land, is a sur­vivor of breast cancer. When she re­alised what the night was in aid of, she gath­ered the rest of the group and they all joined in.’
